Guys Hill Road, Verandah and Outdoor Area In Strathfieldsaye
Outdoor Living Verandah Delivered by AMW Builders
This outdoor renovation on Guys Hill Road in Strathfieldsaye, within Greater Bendigo, replaced an existing outdoor structure with a new verandah built to integrate with the home’s existing roof. The result is a covered alfresco area that opens straight off the house.
Before the works, the space had brick paving and darker painted walls. The old structure was demolished and the area rebuilt from the ground up, starting with a new concrete slab and new structural framing tied into the existing roof.
Render and paint brought the surrounding brick walls to a clean, light finish around the exposed brick fireplace, and translucent roof sheeting keeps the verandah bright through the day. Roofing, gutters and downpipes were completed as part of the same scope.
Covered Verandah and Outdoor Fireplace
Sliding doors open from the home straight onto the new verandah, which carries through to the garden beyond. A rendered ledge runs along the wall beside the brick fireplace with room for firewood, and white-painted roof framing keeps the finish clean and consistent overhead.
The Original Outdoor Area
The original outdoor area had a brick-paved floor, a mix of older roof sections and darker painted walls. This structure was demolished to make way for the new slab, framing and verandah.
